UTA Summer 2006 | Critic: Bijan Youssefzadeh
The project began with a five week trip to Germany and the Netherlands where I analyzed and documented potential sites for the program requirements. A site of particular interest was a triangular shaped lot on Friedrichstrasse, one of Berlin's most frequented streets. The resulting study emphasizes the different programs where the hostel units are expressed in the facade through small windows and the recreation center's squash and fitness room protrude from the building.
