Museum for Construction

In the center of Rome, as Ponte Sisto runs over the Tiber River a museum was to be designed that documents different construction methods and processes. The specific site for the project directly faces the river and its inhabitants. The facade facing the Tiber becomes m ore porous to allow for a reading of the piazza that lies behind the building. The museum incorporates many types of program in conjunction with traditional gallery spaces, such as apartments for visiting scholars and restoration laboratories.
