Drawing in the City
Sketches from a three week stay in Rome

GSD Summer 2011 | Director: T. Kelly Wilson

The following drawings and sketches are from a drawing seminar held in Rome. We visited several sites each day and sketched from 8 in the morning until sun down. Living in Rome gave me a very good understanding of the city’s urban fabric as well as its wonderful spaces. The layering of the city’s past create a rich palimpsest that can only truly be discovered and analyzed through investigation by drawing and sketching.
